Getting Stronger to More of Your Life

In my client sessions and webinars, I talk about how we humans on average are going strong to only about 20% of our lives. I work with and teach clients how to increase the percentage of our core strength up to 100% every day (you can read Strengthening Your Spinal Cord, Your Core Energy). I’ve also mentioned in Seven Ways to Improve Your Self-talk how improving our self-talk helps strengthen our energy.

There are two more ways to strengthen ourselves that I use quite frequently that I have been reluctant to share because they come from the Bible…I have not wanted others to feel that I am pushing religion on them. Let me say in advance that the thought processes or ‘directives’ in these two passages can be applied universally regardless of religion or belief.

Here we go…..
The first one is from the old testament in Micah 6:8: “He has told you, O man, what is good: and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”

Sometimes when I’m looking for direction, I ask myself, “What am I going to do next?” And then I say, “Oh, yeah…here’s an answer! I have my marching orders….” Do what is right, show constant kindness and love, and walk humbly in the company of God – three things that keep me feeling connected to all that is bigger than me, which increases my energetic strength!

The second one is from 1 Thessalonians 5:18: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” Notice the phrase “in all circumstances” – it does not say, “when something/everything is going right, or when the sun is shining, or when your goals are all being met, or when you found this great relationship, or when everything is happening with ease and synchronicity, or when everything seems to be falling into place, etc.”

Do you ever have days when nothing seems to be going right and you find yourself grumbling and/or complaining most of the time? Yes, I’m suggesting finding things to be thankful for even during those days!

Often times when working with clients who seem to be a bit downhearted, I suggest for them to find 10 things to be grateful for every day for the next week. Why??? Recall for a minute what and how you feel when someone says, “Thank You!” It lightens the mood, strengthens bonds (even with someone you will never see again), lifts the heart, energizes you, puts a skip in your step – and when it’s from someone with whom you are in a relationship (living, committed, business, sales, client, long or short term, etc.), it helps to deepen and confirm the relationship. Being thankful – finding gratitude – in the small, mundane things in your every day life, and even for the bigger and/or unfortunate things you may be dealing with, will also lift your heart and strengthen your energy!

I’d love to know how incorporating these ways into your daily lives makes you feel! Reach out to us HERE or find us on Facebook at Energetic Well Being and share what you experience!

By the way, for those of you who may prefer a particular translation of the bible, I looked at these verses in about 20 translations, and the essence of them shines through in every one!!!
